Chris has travelled the world to perform and teach at some of the premier Scottish Music Schools, festivals and events. His ability to play the tune with a strong beat for the dances, while adding ornamentation for the listeners and stirring emotions, just for the fun of it is outstanding.. He is available to play at folk festivals, weddings, concerts, Scottish dances and private functions or as a duo with Catherine Strutt on piano. As a teacher, Chris is inspiring, as many Scottish fiddlers can attest to. Trained at the Conservatorium of Music, but works in an unrelated career, Chris plays, because he loves to. To hear him play or teach, you can tell. Unique hands on session in Tasmania at the start of each year.
